African beef mac and cheese

Ingredients

Pasta:

1 pack (500g) whole wheat macaroni

1 tbsp beef stock granules

1 tsp Himalayan Crystal salt for every 500g macaroni

Mince:

500g mince

½ tsp Cere Bos braai salt

1 tbsp beef stock granules

6 eggs

200g goda cheese

Sause:

1 can (410g) braai relish (tomato and onion mix)

Method:

  1. Throw the macaroni and hot water into the pot.

  2. Add the beef stock to the macaroni.

  3. Add the Himalayan salt to the macaroni.

  4. Let the macaroni boil, then put it on 100 degrees.

  5. Put the mince in the pan.

  6. Put braai salt on mince and add the beef stock.

  7. Press mince fine.

  8. Braai the mince until it’s a nice light brown colour.

  9. Pour the relish (tomato and onion mix) on mince.

  10. Braai relish with mince

  11. Cover the glass containers with olive/coconut oil.

  12. Break eggs into a bowl and put aside.

  13. Grate the cheese. Put oven on 180 degrees Celsius.

  14. Throw water out of the pot and the pasta into the glass containers but only until there is one layer of pasta.

  15. Then throw the cheese and mince in that order into the glass containers.

  16. Beat the eggs with the electric beater then throw it onto the mince.

  17. Repeat proses until out of food or until the containers are full.

  18. Put in oven for 25 minutes.
